New Bible Study

We just finished our ten-week study of "The Patriarchs" by Beth Moore. She has challenged us each week, and we have learned so much. We had a time of praise and reflection last night that blessed my heart!

I have such an awesome group of ladies to fellowship and study with each week. We are jumping right in and starting a new one next week. I am SO excited!!! I have never done a study by Priscilla Shirer. We will be doing "Jonah: Navigating a Life Interrupted." I hear it is awesome and life changing!!

"What do we do when God interrupts our lives? Many times, like Jonah, we run! In this study, Priscilla redefines interruption and shows that interruption is actually God's invitation to do something beyond our wildest dreams. When Jonah was willing to allow God to interrupt his life, the result was revival in an entire city."

Can anyone relate?!

  1. OH HONEY!! we are finishing up Jonah right NOW and let me tell you IT IS AWESOME. I cannot tell you how AWESOME it is...Priscilla Shirer is my FAVORITE bible study author of ALL TIME and Jonah will NOT disappoint you..I'm just bouncing in my seat right now with JOY for your group of ladies and how much y'all are going to LOVEEEEEEEEE her!!!!! She enunciates her words very well --and her facial expression is hysterical!! She is so REAL about life in general and it's like she just "gets it"...I LOVE HER!!!!

  2. Charon, I am thrilled to hear that from you! I can't wait to get started with her. Want to do a guest post for me about Chapter l? I'm serious! Email me if you are interested.

It is just awesome to see how we, as women, are so blessed by our online friends. You bless me, girl! Hope you and those precious children are looking forward to our wonderful springtime!

  3. Yes I can relate....my post today, we are thinking the same direction. Yes Jonah, well that has been the last 5 years and I am afraid I am still in the belly of the whale waiting to be released.

Oh I loved the Bible Study you just finished and I am finishing up a book by Priscilla...I need to get this one and do it.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my book title life post!

  4. This sounds like a great study, Diana, I haven't read any of her books, but will now check them out. However any thing Beth Moore writes is awesome. I enjoy her studies on Life Today. Looking forward to you sharing.

  5. Can I ever relate....this sounds like a great book. I have done one of her studies before and it was WONDERFUL....As for Beth Moore, doesn't get much better in my opinion. I think I might like for that book today, thanks for the head's up. Have a wonderful day....Debbie

  6. I have always loved Beth Moore but recently did the Redeemed, Annointed study where Priscilla S. did the first four weeks. I loved it! I can't wait to do Jonah. Our evening bible study has been doing it but i could not go as i was teaching our morning study. That is definitely next on my list!

  7. I have not been part of a Beth Moore study for a long time! I love her programs/studies! Glad yours went so well~ xxoo Diana

  8. I'm going to have to put Jonah on my list. Beth Moore rocks!

  9. That is a very good thought. I like that, I need to view my interruptions that way.

  10. HI Diana, I am on week four of the study of Noah and like many others am blessed by Priscilla-she is hysterical. I was afraid that Beth was more my style-due to the season of life but Priscilla is very annointed as well. I know you'll love it.
    Hugs today.

  11. That sounds interesting! Our group is reading "If you want to walk on water you have to get out of the boat" by John Ortberg.

  12. Sounds powerful! Be sure to share with us!

  13. Loved the Patriarchs. Jonah sounds great too. Nothing better than Bible study with girlfriends. Speaking of which, I am going away for the weekend with my Bible study group. Can't wait. Love & blessings from NC!

  14. Wow! This is definitely a study I want to do! Hopefully I can order it tonight...thanks so much for posting and for your dear comment on my blog. Though GOD has carried us through, this move has been very traumatic. Just a week ago I said "I want to go HOME!"
Of course home has changed forever and I need to wait for my FOREVER HOME...needing JESUS' help every hour.

  15. I have done studies with both of these godly women and always learn so much!!

  16. I love Priscilla too! I did the study with Beth, Kay and Priscilla last year and loved it. I am looking forward to doing Jonah, maybe this year.
In the meantime, I think I will read the book of Jonah and see what little nuuggets I can find.

    Loved this post!

PS... we must live in the same part of Texas... we are in Rockwall and go to Lakepointe.

  17. Diana ~ You are going to LOVE IT!!!! My Bible study group just finished Jonah 2 weeks ago and it was AWESOME!

I know you will enjoy it as much as we have!

  18. Wow! With all those great recommendations, I'm going to have to do Priscilla's study on Jonah! I've done one of her studies when she wrote one with Beth and Kay and found Priscilla to be a wonderful teacher! Right now I'm going through Kathy Howard's study on Hebrews...but I'm almost finished. (It's been great, by the way).

thanks for stopping by my blog earlier today and leaving your encouraging comment!

    Blessings, Joan
