Waiting is hard. But waiting can be a blessing.

Rick found out in January that he had a brain tumor. He was told from the beginning it was a rare one. Very rare. I think it has to do with the location of it. When he had his first MRI back then, they felt it was a benign one, but it was not going to be easy to just go in and get. So the waiting began. We were told to wait three months. Then we would get another MRI to see if it had changed in size or fashion.

People have prayed for him, supported him, and basically checked on him often. Thank God for special family and friends!

During this waiting time, Rick and I received confirmation that we should change doctors. We liked the former one; that was not the concern. We were directed to another doctor, however, who has at least seen more of these kind of tumors. They were more optimistic and, in general, offered more hope for dealing with the tumor.

Hope....it means everything.

Today he goes for his second MRI. We will take those results to our new doctor a week from Wednesday. Then (Praise God!) we will have a new game plan!

Easter Weekend

Jonah and Glory stayed with us last night. It was such a beautiful afternoon/evening that I insisted we spend most of it outside before we went in for baths. I didn't even go in to cook; we just ordered pizza and had a picnic outside. I love the kiddos expressions.

We don't have bluebonnets in our pastures, but we sure have some pretty Indian Paintbrush Flowers. Glory and I had fun, but Mr. Jonah ran from the camera toward the pond! Sounds like a boy, huh?!

Happy Easter!
