Fitz and Rickie Have Surgeries

Fitz had his reconstructive surgery July 20. Marilyn and I went to Houston for four days. He did very well.

Rickie had rotator cuff surgery on July 27. He had to miss some work, and it has proven to be pretty tough on him.

Rick's Annual with Dr. Mickey

Rick and I were in Dallas last week for his annual MRI. We checked in at 7:20 a.m. The MRI was followed up with the doctor appointment. Good news – little change shown in the MRI. Bad news – he continues to suffer from his facial nerve damage. Good news – the pain management doctor he sees continues to offer medications that at least help some. Praise the Lord!

July 4th Season
June 19
And so it begins…..our hoopla building up to July 4. Greg and Isabel flew in today. Our babysitting and cooking dinner each evening have begun!

June 23
Justin and the family got home tonight. Jenna, Jared and the kiddos are here for the weekend.

June 24
This is the first day that fireworks can be sold. Our guys made their deadline; they even had sales this evening. Lisa and Anja are flying in.

June 29
Jenna, Jared, and the kiddos came back for the weekend. Actually, Jared will return home Sunday, but Jenna and the kiddos get to stay here through the 4th. Jared will come back Tuesday to continue helping.

June 30
The boys had one BIG private show tonight. Sales continue to be great. I think Marilyn and I saw 48 people come through my house at dinner before the show. Keelie and Molly got to come. Molly has been running fever, so they were keeping her away from all the other little ones.

July 1
Now Jonah has the bug! Chad, Tara and Fitz are now here (Chad had been here last weekend as well).

July 4
We had another huge crowd at dinner. We had babies everywhere. Then the guys had their three city shows tonight.

The last ten days have been fun, busy, exhausting, and crazy. But man what a blessing to have shared these days with ALL our family! Wouldn’t trade these crazy days for anything.
Can’t wait for July 2019!
