A Visit to Pioneer Woman

Cheyrl, Marilyn and I left on an overnight rode trip yesterday to Pawhuska, Oklahoma. We played along the way and spent the night in Tulsa. This morning we drove on to Pawhuska and went straight to see The Mercantile. She has so many cute things there. We then secured our ticket for a lodge tour, and headed out there. She, Ladd, and her family really do live out in the boonies! The Lodge and their home sits out on thousands of acres! A couple of favorites for the day included: 1)hearing stories about Ree and her family, and 2) seeing her prop room filled with all things Pioneer Woman.

Homemade Granola

I have been making this homemade granola for several weeks now. The recipe came from the "Hope's Table" cookbook that Keelie and Justin gave me for Christmas. It's such a great cookbook. The recipes are so good and "cook friendly."

Another Morning with this Cutie

Molly, Marilyn and I had lunch at our favorite lunch place, McAlister's. She always has a good time there. She loves the mac and cheese, but then what kid doesn't?!

A Quick Trip to Mansfield

We spent the night with Jenna and Jared last night. We went to church with them today. Apparently Marlow's class talked about Heaven; she told her teacher who all she knew that had gone there - some grandparents (actually great-grands) and her dog!

New Project Car

Rick got a new car to piddle with today. It's a 1981 corvette. The exterior is in good shape. The interior has some things for him to work on. But the good news is it runs!

Birthdays

Both Justin and Keelie have had birthdays; Justin was 39 and Keelie turned 40. We had a birthday meal here tonight. We have missed them!

Colorado Family Ski Trip

Rick and I got to accompany Jared, Jenna, Shaun, Kelle, John, Martha, and all the little kiddos to Beaver Creek, Colorado last week. This was Marlow and Jackson's first time to fly. Shaun took care of the lodging. Everyone had their own bedroom and bath. The little ones had a bunk room with a playroom on the lower level. On the first full day some of the group tubed. Jenna and Jared skied three days while Shaun and Kelle skied a fourth day. Marlow, Quinn, and Kinley went to ski school for two days; they did great! The grandparents entertained Jackson; next year, he can go to ski school. We had some great meals and enjoyed some competitive card games at night. It snowed several times while we were there; the scenery was gorgeous!
