"The Gift" for Girls' Outing

The girls ( and one special little guy) had a Christmas outing yesterday. We went to Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano again this year to see their Christmas Pageant. It is always such a blessing!

Jonah's comments kept me smiling before and during the show.

Nanna, are we going to get to see what God and Jesus really look like?
Hey, will Santa be here?
What about the reindeer?
Will Jesus be big or little?
Is it time to start?

Why do those angels keep coming down?
That's the real Santa, isn't it?! (He came down from the rafters in a sleigh.)
Look, Nanna. Frosty!
Why are Joseph and Mary so still?
That's a real horse.
Hey, Nanna, can we go camping in two weeks?
When is Jesus going to grow up?

He smiled, conducted the orchestra music, clapped, sang, and took in SO much.

As we left the church, he even noticed that way up in the top of the church foyer his name "JONAH" was there (biblical characters in glass). It just amazes me what little ones pick up and notice. He blesses my heart!

  1. To see the world thru a child's eyes - you had quite a show with him! :)

  2. Children really keep your eyes open to new things. It's fun to see through their untainted eyes.

  3. out of the mouths of babes...what a sweetie pie

  4. He sounds so adorable. Merry Christmas to you!

  5. What fun! I love all the comments those little kids make...it is what makes everything so special and precious. Hugs- Diana

  6. oh. wow. that touched my heart, thanks for sharing his conversation with us....how very special.

  7. HI Diana,
So nice to meet you! Thank you for your sweet comments on my blog.

Don't you just love the wonder of children...and all the questions! Sounds like you all had a wonderful time. Ahh, to look at life through the eyes of a child. :)

    Much love,

  8. Isn't it amazing seeing something like that through the eyes of a child? I love it!

  9. oh my gosh! i've been to that church, many years ago for a concert. i think it was glen campbell (during his "christian-music" phase).

anyway, what a little sweetheart that jonah is!! love it! thanks for sharing.
