Quiche Lorraine and Tailgating

4 eggs
1 ½ cans Milnot
1 T. flour
½ t. salt
¼ t. pepper
¼ t. nutmeg
1 medium onion (chopped)
1 ½ c. Swiss cheese
¾ lb. cooked bacon
2 pie shells

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Blend eggs, milk, flour, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Add onions and cheese.

Sprinkle cooked meat in bottom of uncooked pie shells. Pour in egg mixture and bake for 45-55 minutes.

My side notes:

I used a mixture of cooked bacon and real bacon bits.
I used evaporated milk instead of Milnot.
I used onion flakes/salt as I forgot to buy an onion.
You could use sausage or ham instead of bacon.

So good!!!

  5. I make this same recipe but I use either Half&Half or cream instead of the evaporated milk. Of course it has 3 times the calories!..and I have started using cut green onion tops instead of the onions. It has a bit milder flavor. Quiche Lorraine is my favorite...reminds me it is time to make it again...Hugs- Diana
