Snowing "Hail"

We had never seen hail quite like we did yesterday during our cool afternoon here. It was so thick it looked more like snow falling across the skies except with sound effects! IT WAS SO LOUD!

No damage though. Today, it's going to be 88 degrees.
Crazy Texas Weather!

  1. That's HUGE hail. Wow, you are lucky to have no damage.

About 20 years ago we had just moved from Texas, house there was closing in about a week, being purchased by hubby's company. Huge, awful hail storm destroyed the roof and broke a skylight. Since we were still the owners, it was a mess to deal with long distance.

Texas hail can be brutal, but I'd sure love a bit of your sunshine right now. Woke up to a rainy day, lol, hey it is Oregon.

  12. Wow! I guess that was a surprise! When J and I were first married, we had hail the size of golf balls one day. We lived in a mobile home... imagine what that sounded like on the roof! When it stopped, I ran outside and picked up a couple and put them in the freezer beause I knew no one would believe the size if I just told them. They stayed there for a year. Great conversation started when folks came to visit that had not heard the story! :-)
