January Camping #2, a Rodeo and Flu

Rick and I left for Joe Pool last Tuesday. We went back and forth from there to Jared and Jenna's. Sunday was our annual Fort Worth Stock Show day. Jared had arranged for us to be in one of the boxes. I ended up not going with everyone; I took Jackson to Bumps and Bruises to be checked out. He has the flu! They said Marlow enjoyed the rodeo along with all the snacks. We came home yesterday.

Jonah's Basketball

Jonah is playing another round of basketball. We are trying to make as many games as we can. I love that he seems to be enjoying it; I know I love watching!

January Camping

Rick and I got away to Colbert this week. It's a nice camping spot and close to home.

Christmas 2017

Jerry flew home this year. Chad and Tara were also here since they now live in Houston instead of Singapore (yay!). Tim wasn't able to come over as he was sick. We had our family Christmas on Christmas Eve. Justin, Jared, and Chad cooked steaks on the grill for us this year which proved to be a big hit with everyone.

At some point, Santa came knocking. Marlow's reaction was priceless.

Pictures with Santa are always a hit - a hit probably more for Marilyn and me than the others. Our maternal grandparents, Pa and Ma Henderson, started this tradition of Santa to come knocking long before the two of us were even born.

We let the kids open presents, and then played games for gift cards. Keelie brought a game called "Crazy Bee Rummy" that Justin had ordered for her. It seems that she used to play this game with her grandmother. It was a huge hit. In fact, Rickie was nice enough to order four of them after Christmas, and he gave one of them to me.

On another note, the "Davis" name will continue. These sweet kiddos are going to have a BOY!

Weekend Before Christmas

Jenna, Marlow and Jackson came up on Friday. Jared was going on a weekend hunting trip. We enjoyed running some errands and hanging out by the fire in the evenings.

Last night was Keelie's Annual Girl Party. We always look forward to wearing comfy (PJ) clothes, eating yummy food that she cooks, sharing our baked goodies with each other, and getting to visit.
