Colorado 2024
We took our time when we left town after cleaning up our firework season "stuff" and arrived in South Fork July 8. We enjoyed meals with friends and campfires in the evening. We played bingo and went to Sunday morning church services each week. The weather was great to be outside every day. Marley adjusted to rv life just fine.
On July 30, we went to Creede. We enjoyed walking downtown and stopped at a favorite spot for a picnic at lunch.
Then came the next morning (July 31). Marilyn called at 7:30 a.m. Rickie had had a wreck a few minutes earlier. At that point, he was being taken to a hospital with a minimum of a broken femur and a cracked sternum.
Although Rick and I had reservations for another four weeks, we knew we needed to go home. Our neighbors helped pack us up, and we were on the road before noon. It was a VERY long day as we didn't stop for a rest until around midnight. But we were home and where we needed to be by the next morning.
