State Champs!

As the saying goes....."Teams to Remember Play in December!" After six weeks of playoff games including getting to play at The Star in Frisco and ending at AT&T Stadium, we can say we are the State 3A D2 Champs. We won that title yesterday afternoon with a perfect season record as we defeated our final opponent for the 2022 Football Season with a score of 42 to 7. What a ride! 

On a side note, we are so happy that Jonah and David (aka Gigi/Coach Gage) get State rings!

Christmas Fun

 

Christmas Events

Jenna and Jared bought us tickets to Prestonwood's "The Gift of Christmas." We went to the morning presentation yesterday. 

After the show, we grabbed lunch. Later in the afternoon, Jenna got Marlow's ears pierced for her birthday.

 

This morning we went to church with them. After lunch, Jenna and I went with a group on a Tour of Homes there. Such a special weekend!

 Football, Thanksgiving and Marlow's Birthday Party

Justin worked on Thanksgiving Day, and we had a playoff game Friday afternoon (another victory!). Jenna and the family went to the game, and then they came on to the house afterwards.

Yesterday afternoon we had a birthday party for Marlow. She is turning 7! 

We had our family Thanksgiving yesterday with a traditional turkey meal.  Greg and the girls didn't come in; and unfortunately, Chad and Tara had to cancel because of sick kiddos. Christmas crafts followed our meal. 

 Homecoming 2022

Thanks to Marilyn and Hobby Lobby we got some homecoming mums done this week in time for the tailgate on Wednesday. 

As usual, school let out early today. The weather was great for the afternoon parade as well as the game tonight (another Tiger victory!).

Glory Turning 14!

We celebrated Glory today as she turns 14 tomorrow. She's such a sweetheart!

 

Kiddos and Their Sports

There is definitely more going on these days than just Friday night lights! Jackson is playing baseball (not t-ball this year). Marlow is playing softball, and Glory is playing volleyball. So we make as many of these games as we possibly can! Love watching all of them.

 

Jenna - A Birthday and a New Job

Happy 38th birthday to Jenna! 

A big change is coming the end of this month for her. After 15 years at the same hospital location as a supervisor/manager of an ICU, she is accepting a new position. This new position is with the same health organization but a different location. It will cut her long compute in half as well as relieve her of a great deal of stress. We are thrilled for her!

Jonah Turns 17!

Today is Jonah's 17th birthday (so hard to believe!). His birthday dinner will be tomorrow.  Being a Friday he had a football game. We played at home and had a great win. He was wearing his "real" number #54. 

All the grands (plus Keelie) began a new school year today.

Football Begins!

Tonight was a big night. Gunter Tiger Football for the new school year began. It was our first game and everyone looks forward to playing many games (hopefully through December!).  Jonah is beginning his junior year. It was technically a scrimmage so the boys wore weird numbers; Jonah wore #62. We won big!

Molly Turns 6!

Molly's 6th birthday party was today after church rather than Wednesday (her actual birthday). We had a nice lunch and then delicious cake! She's such a sweetheart.
