We leave for Seattle today to do a little sightseeing. Then Saturday we board a ship bound for Alaska! We will be traveling with Marilyn, Rickie, 

Brenda and Dominic.

Summer Six-Inch Rain

We are so thrilled. It's been cool and wet here in North Texas! We finally got enough rain to fill our ponds.  THANK YOU LORD!

Our feathered friends are loving this cooler weather. With more water in the pond, we can actually see them from the patio as they swim around each day. Goofy things still waddle up to the house all the time.  Love watching them!

Charlotte's Web?

Don't think that I really like spiders. But this morning as we stepped onto the back patio this is what we saw amongst some of the trees. The morning cool dew with the sunrise coming through showed off this magnificent work of one of God's creatures just perfectly. Isn't it beautiful?!

This has been a great month for many reasons. Today reason #4

My Birthday Meal(s) With Family - First just an impromptu - "who's around at 11:30" kind of lunch at Tin Star. It took us 15 minutes to devour our food, and then we visited for another two and half hours. SO FUN!

Marilyn made this later in the week to celebrate. And...although I forgot a pic, we had grilled burgers at Keelie and Justin's house.
