The Birds and a Busy Day
Word spread fast a few days ago that there was birdseed to be had!! Don't you just love watching birds fly around in the yard?
We are getting another day off today due to inclement weather. I'm going to get out of my PJs and get busy on a to-do list!
Have a blessed Wednesday....
Enjoy your snow day or I guess we should call it an ice day because right now we're getting a bunch of frozen rain. It's just wierd, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThat's a great capture! Yes, I'm tired of this ice and cold wind! And the birds are very active again here today... Almost time to refill already!
ReplyDeleteI have a blog award for you at arise 2 write. It is the second post down.
ReplyDeleteI have a prayer request at All Gods Creatures.
Gorgeous picture.
Blessings,
andrea
Love the birds! I love when a big swarm of blackbirds come and land in the yard and I can peck on the window and that black cloud rises and whooooooshes off!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day off! I'm at work, but hoping to go home by lunchtime!
Hope you get lots checked off your "to do" list!! I'm ready for this inclimate weather to move on! Glad the birds have a good food stop. Stay warm and be safe!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you did today in tomorrow's post! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteLove this picture, Diana! Good reminder that we need to fill up our bird feeder! Have a wonderful inclement weather day! Looks like GA might be in for more snow tonight - I'm hoping the weather channel is wrong...
ReplyDeleteGod bless!
I love watching the birds at our feeders. In this climate, with the ground covered in snow, once you get the birds used to eating at the feeder, it really is a responsibility to keep feeding them. It's a delight to do this for God's creatures.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your busy day. :-)
brrr ready for summer...
ReplyDeleteI filled all our feeders up (again!) yesterday. It has provided an enjoyable past time.....watching the birds at the feeders. Some purple finch were lunching at the front one as Lucy and I walked down the drive way with the trash yesterday. They never even noticed us....just kept right on feeding!
ReplyDeleteLouis Dean stacked a fresh supply of firewood on our front porch and that has been a popular spot for the doves to 'hunker down' in this cold!
Before you know it we will be trying to stay cool and all this will be but a memory!
But for now.....keep WARM my blogging friend!
My birds are about to eat us out of house and home. I fill the feeders up nearly everyday, but they are so much fun to watch. Great capture of the birds flying!
ReplyDeleteLove bird watchin! I had a lot on my ta-do list, but didn't get much accomplished. Sure enjoyed the time off though.
ReplyDeletehugs,
tara
For some strange reason we are not getting our birds this year. We have always had them before and I feel bad that they haven't been around. Love that you have so many! Hugs-Diana
ReplyDeleteLove the birds, great photo!! Hope you enjoyed your "ice" day. ;) Schools were closed, the kiddies are enjoying but our office was open. Boo. ;) I'm ready for SPRING!! :)
ReplyDeleteWe're supposed to get a little snow tonight....praying that it will NOT! Don't like to drive in snow!!

Love the photo! I hope you enjoyed your day off! :)
ReplyDeleteThat photo is really great.
ReplyDeleteI had a chuckle about the word "encelment". I have heard a few discriptions about the snow but this is a cute way of describing it.
