Homecoming Day

We went to the homecoming parade this afternoon. Gathering pounds of candy off the streets is one of the highlights for the kiddos. I made Glory, Marlow, and Molly homecoming mums. The girls were so cute with them on!

Although I don't have a picture of them Marilyn made Anja and Isabel mums, too. The girls stayed here tonight rather than go to the game.

Jerry Left for the Winter

We had a meal tonight to send Jerry off. He pulled out after dinner in his new truck and travel trailer for South Texas. We will miss him - especially Marlow! She will miss her "rhino buddy."

Homecoming Tailgate Party

Rick and I went to Mansfield today to pick up Marlow. I was glad she could be here to go with us to the Homecoming Tailgate. This is the only picture I got although Jonah was there, too. All the little football teams got announced at the pep rally.

San Diego Trip to See Marci & Donnie

Tim, Rick and I flew to San Diego this past Thursday morning (very early). Marci and Donnie picked us up at the airport. First stop was breakfast at Cafe Coyote in the Old San Diego area.

Tim and I had been to San Diego before but this was Rick's first time out there. For the next five days, Donnie and Marci were our fabulous tour guides. Donnie has active military clearance, so we were allowed on all the bases we could squeeze into our trip. We saw so many I can't even remember all their names.  I do remember Camp Pendleton and Miramar. We loved seeing all the planes, helicopters and ships. Donnie grew up in a military family and served abroad in two trips. We enjoyed all the information he shared with us about military life.

I loved getting to see the "Top Gun" house which is being restored.

They live very close to the ocean. Isn't this terrible they have had to adjust to these kind of views?!

Already looking forward to another trip out there!

Jonah and 7-on-7

We have been enjoying beautiful Saturday afternoons around here this fall watching Jonah play football.  There is something so special seeing this young guy in GT blue and white!

Two Birthdays and Labor Day Weekend

We enjoyed some great family time this Labor Day Weekend. The first birthday was Jonah's. We had a birthday meal at Justin and Keelie's for his12th birthday. He's such a sweet boy!

We all enjoyed his cake.

Molly enjoyed guacamole!

Jackson enjoyed anything.

Glory and Marlow enjoyed the outdoors with Jenna.

Next birthday was Jenna's. Jared had planned an overnight little trip for her on Saturday. We kept the kiddos. Sunday evening we had a meal down at Marilyn's.

Love three-day weekends with family!
