New Bible Study

We just finished our ten-week study of "The Patriarchs" by Beth Moore. She has challenged us each week, and we have learned so much. We had a time of praise and reflection last night that blessed my heart!

I have such an awesome group of ladies to fellowship and study with each week. We are jumping right in and starting a new one next week. I am SO excited!!! I have never done a study by Priscilla Shirer. We will be doing "Jonah: Navigating a Life Interrupted." I hear it is awesome and life changing!!

"What do we do when God interrupts our lives? Many times, like Jonah, we run! In this study, Priscilla redefines interruption and shows that interruption is actually God's invitation to do something beyond our wildest dreams. When Jonah was willing to allow God to interrupt his life, the result was revival in an entire city."

Can anyone relate?!

2 T. butter
1/4 C. chopped scallions
1 10 oz. pkg. frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained

I wanted to share some pics of the Willys jeep restoration that Rick is doing. Just remember I promised to bore you with updates now and then.

This is a picture before he began on it. Here you can find the story and more pics.

Ham and Cheese Sandwich Roll

This is so good and easy to make. Serve it with a salad and you've got a great meal.

1 can refrigerated pizza crust
6 ounces thinly sliced ham
6 slices swiss or cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons honey mustard or flavored mayonnaise
1 beaten egg
1 teaspoon sesame seeds optional

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease cookie sheet.
Unroll pizza crust onto cookie sheet. Press it into a 14 x 8 inch rectangle.
Spread honey mustard or mayo thinly over dough, to within 1 inch of edge.
Layer ham and cheese of your choice over top.
Fold long sides of dough to middle and pinch edges to seal. Pinch short sides to seal and tuck under.
Brush with egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
Bake for 16-18 minutes until browned. Slice and serve.

***There are so many possibilities to change it up just a little. Try some roast beef or turkey.  Pepperjack cheese would be great, too.

 Lame Job/Great Weekend

To finish off spring break week, we took the RV to Marilyn and Rickie's lake property for the weekend. This was kind of like the kick-off weekend for spring/summer. Everyone contributed in some manner to help with all the projects.

My job was a little lame when you compare it to all the others (my arm was out of the sling but I was to be cautious). Don't laugh....I held the trashbags open so Marilyn could fill them with leaves.

Someone had to do it. She said it was a big help--honest.

Jenna trimmed a honeysuckle bush. It had grown in some wild fashion that prevented the gate from closing.

Rick helped with electricity stuff for their bunkhouse project. Hopefully, Marilyn will have pics of this soon over at her blog.

Spring Break 2011 comes to an end. Good news..... spring is here!

New Gear

Fashionable, huh?

I picked this little number up last night in an area shop emergency room. It only came in this color. But just remember.....black is classic.

I'll skip all the little details, but I would love for you to pray that my MRI coming up later in the week will bring a good report.

Short and sweet today. I'm pecking with my left index finger. So thankful though for that whole left appendage.

It's All About the "Get-Up!"

Jonah came over after church yesterday. Glory is sick, and I thought Keelie could use some backup since Justin was at work.

Jonah got to talking about NASCAR which led to discussing Trevor Bayne and Carl Edwards. He asked me if I had some red or white pants and shirts. (Of course everyone should know those are Carl's colors!) Unfortunately, I couldn't find the right get-up. However, I did get a thumbs up for a cool helmet to ride with.

(Notice the special seat equipment.)

We made it to Victory Lane -- complete with a live interview!

Then it was baseball time.
I did better with this get-up.
His dad's stuff from "several" years ago.......

Never a dull moment!

Have a great Monday.

Splash of Color

I took these pics while we were out in the RV. The warmth and colors give such hope that spring is just around the corner! Enjoy this beautiful Saturday...

His Plan

Here's a great reminder to us from my bible study, "The Patriarchs."

“God means for you and me to cast our utter dependency only on Him.  His plan does not depend on any human. He has well-planned a fruitful life for you. Nothing and no one critical to YOUR GOD-PLANNED FUTURE can fail to come through once God says it’s time.

No human has the power to overlook what God determines to oversee.”

A big YEAH!! That’s God’s sovereignty!

The Lake

We went to a nearby lake in the RV this past weekend. It was such a treat. Rick had taken off Thursday and Friday so we had a long weekend. The kids came out Friday afternoon for dinner, and then Jonah stayed a couple of nights with us. He and I spent one afternoon exploring every nook and cranny around the lake and (as he said) "in the forest." What a fantastic opportunity to be out in God's creation and see the wonder of it all through the eyes of this five year old!!

(Elly has her own take of the weekend, too!)

Waterhose Wreath

I made this last week for my patio. My goal was to create a wreath with NO purchases for the supplies. Check! I did it.

Have a great day!
