Eeeewwwww.....

Yeah, that was me this morning.

I had been off for two weeks. No thought of work or anything really related to it.

Digression....the last day of work before the Christmas break, a company came out and rekeyed my office. They handed me a ring with five new keys on it as I was preparing to leave the building.

Back to this morning. Something hit me about 6:30 a.m. that I had not seen my keys. I searched the car, two purses, all my pant pockets, and jacket pockets. I searched all the little tote bags I carry around, and again I searched the car, two purses, all my....

Finally, I went on in. We called Lock Doc and waited a couple of hours. Two nice guys--one of which had rekeyed my office--came out. They opened my door, and there on my desk --- four new keys. Then it hit me!

That day two weeks ago as I was leaving I quickly took one of the keys and put it on my keyring! I had it all the time!

Eeeewwwww! Yes, you have permission to laugh. Everyone else did.

I did, too.

P.S. Those nice guys did not charge me!

  3. Well, Lucy...you friend, Ethel, here has done more than her fair share of things like this. One time my hubby and I were all dressed up. We ate at a nice place...I had the keys to the car in my hand...he said..throw me the keys...I did (literally) and watched in fascinated horror as they slipped through the only 4" grate in the whole parking lot and down into the sewer. 8. I LOVE LUCY! :> )

    Good morning, Diana~

You are so not alone in this department. We have all done something like that one time or another.

When we were growing up, my sister accidentally threw out her keys at a Burger King one night. They had to come and remove the ignition switch so she could get home. LOL! Laughing about is the best medicine!

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!

    Blessings~

  12. So, they were REALLY Nice guys!
Oh, I can certainly relate! The problem is that you forgot how "efficient" you were by promptly putting one key on your ring. It sure happens to me from time to time. LOL

  13. Hi sweet friend, I have to laugh too because although I haven't done that exact thing I always do dumb stuff. It's because you have so much important stuff clogging your brain that you/we just forget the non-essentials.
Happy New Years to you, God's blessings to you and yours.
    Hugs, Noreen

  15. I LOVE the 'I Love Lucy' pic! Went perfectly with this post!! Glad to know you are a 'bag lady' as well....I ALWAYS carry my purse, a book and usually a tote bag of some sort. I have been know to put my purse AND book inside the tote...just to cut down on the cluttered look of a 'Bag Lady'.....
