Recognizing Nurses

Today is National Nurse's Day.  This day brings awareness to the importance of nurses in the care, comfort, and well being of all of us.

Our daughter, Jenna, is an ICU nurse in Dallas. Next month she will mark her three-year anniversary.

So to Jenna...... I am proud of you. You are making a difference as you care for your patients. You are also making a difference for the family members who always need a smile, reassurance, and sometimes comfort in the midst of hard times. Keep up the great work you are doing as you serve in this ministry you were called to do. Love you!

  1. Thanks to Jenna and all the other hard working, under paid, under appreciated nurses of the world. I was a nurse a long time ago; I KNOW why there is a nursing shortage, it is a hard, thankless job most of the time.

  4. I'm so glad you recognized nurses. I almost forgot and I worked as a nurse for more than 20 years. Nurses are often unappreciated since patients come and go so quickly. But I know for a fact the role they play. And many of the nurses I know are Christians.

  12. Diana, this is a beautiful tribute to your daughter. I know you are so proud of her. I worked for 25 years as a nurse. It is hard and thankless a lot of the time, but there is nothing as rewarding either. May God bless her hands, her heart and her mind as she works to help others.
