Chocolate, Anyone?
We have a potluck luncheon tomorrow after church. I decided to make an old family favorite from many years ago. It is called a "Scotch Cake" which is just our great old fashioned chocolate cake. Can't count the number of times I've made this one. You may have made it, too, but perhaps called it something else.
Yum!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good ol' Texas sheet cake to me!
Wow..sounds delicious! Maybe after I'm done with my diet, I'll try it. Though that may be a long ways down the road. :o)
ReplyDeleteThat's it! I adore that cake!! A good friend was the first one to give me the recipe. It's killer. I cannot absolutely cannot leave that cake in our house.
I'd die of an insulin rush. It's so so good!
By the way, Diana, I awarded you the Sugar Doll award. I'm so grateful for all you've done to bring us Texas Bloggin' Gals together and I love your personal blog so much!
Thanks!
I'd rather you make it and invite me over to eat it. YUM!
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOSH! THAT'S OUR CAKE! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's what we call a Texas Sheet Cake...I make that for just about EVERYbody's birthday, plus any ol' time we need a chocolate fix. It's the best! That's funny that it's exactly the same recipe.
Incidentally, I saw this SAME recipe on Beth Moore's blog one time...it's one of their family faves too! Small world! :-)
My goodness, Diana, here i have been sitting and craving chocolate. I must check this recipe out. Thanks for sharing. I so enjoyed visiting your great state. Would love to live there.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day tomorrow.

Sue
