Quilts are home!

The little lady that I take some of my quilt tops to called me yesterday. She had finished the quilts that I pieced recently. Here you go. I am so proud of both of them.

I always enjoy visiting with this special little lady. Yesterday, she showed Marilyn and I a closet where she has over 70 quilt tops ready to be quilted. She has made hundreds of quilts. Some have been sold, some raffled for community projects, and some given to family members. The house is full of them. She is an amazing quilter by the way. I really need to get her an Etsy shop!

  7. Those are so pretty. I am a quilter too. I actually am one of those ladies who do the quilting. I don't have 70 quilts in a closet though. Maybe when I am here age I will.

  8. They're really pretty, Di. I guess some of your crafting will slow down now that school has begun.

  12. Diana-Those are gorgeous quilts. I agree that you should get that lady an Etsy site. She would probably be thrilled-or maybe not...they are probably like old friends to her. Diana

  17. The name quilt is beautiful! Reminds me of a table cloth my mom has from many years ago of friends' names embroidered on it. What a great idea to use again! Love those little old lady quilters. Quilting skill is going out with that generation if we don't teach it to our daughters.

  18. Oh my gosh...these are amazing!!! I so envy y'all who can piece quilts together and have them come out looking perfect. I've always wanted to do one myself but don't have the heart or the bravery to try.

    Beautiful work!!!
