Smiling Swimmers
Glory and Jonah enjoyed showing off their swimming skills yesterday for Aunt Jenna and Ashley. (Thanks, Jenna, for making a special effort to come watch!) Jonah is swimming so well; he took lessons at the first of the summer. He is now practicing his diving and going down for rings. Glory will be 2 yrs. old next month and already loves the pool, too.
Although the time was cut a little short because of some rain clouds accompanied by lightening, they had a great time. The pizza that followed kept smiles on their sweet faces!
Ahhh, "Simple Pleasures" is what it's all about!
That is some fun bein' had!!!

ReplyDeleteIt doesn't get any simpler or any more pleasurable than watching children play.

Spashing in the pool is really the only way to keep cool in this HOT Texas heat.

Ughhh! I ment splashing :)
ReplyDeletePool & Pizza is definitely a winning combination! The kids are *precious*! Glad you enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteDiana, this is pure delight. Those pictures capture the essence of Simple Pleasures perfectly. I'm so glad you linked up today.
ReplyDeleteAdorable photos!! Pure joy playing in the pool.
ReplyDeleteOh, what I wouldn't give to be in an outdoor pool. Where I live in Oregon nobody has outdoor pools but the city has two wonderful indoor facilities with a water park. So different than swimming outside in Texas, under the hot sun.
We have enjoyed our pool this year. It has been full of grandchild fun and it has been a wonderful lazy place for me .

Looks like a fun way to spend the day.
ReplyDeleteWe used to live in Florida and spent hours every day in our pool. Always a delightful time. Now, in the northwest, we don't have our own pool, and we miss it alot.
Thanks for sharing that simple pleasure.
Blessings,
