Holy is the Lord
(Chris Tomlin)
For the joy of the Lord is our strength
We bow down and worship Him now
How great, how awesome is He
And together we sing
[Chorus]
Holy is the Lord God Almighty
The earth is filled with His glory
Holy is the Lord God Almighty
The earth is filled with His glory
The earth is filled with His glory
It's rising up all around
It's the anthem of the Lord's renown
And together we sing,
Everyone sing.

It's so fun when you come across bloggers from your home state! I always get excited when I stumble upon another one.
So please do me a favor! I am working on a list of all my blogging friends who live here in Texas or have roots here. (Family members, I know you are here!) Please either email me or leave me a comment if you are one of those; I just want to make sure my list is complete. (In the future, I'm also going to compile a list of all you others who are scattered across--got 'em from Canada to my brother who is living in Cambodia.)
Yeah, I know this is probably a little crazy. But humor me!
Thanks and have a great week.
Love him
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that song. Always brings me to tears when I hear/sing it.
ReplyDeleteHubby and I met and married in Texas. Two of our daughters were born there. My mom lives there and I will be visiting the end of this month.
OK, I'm not from Texas, but I flew through Dallas a couple of times. I also like horses. Maybe I could be an "honorary"?
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Kathleen

I love Chris Tomlin and that song is awesome. I am not from TX. Sorry:)
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited to say that I am a Texan. My family settled there before Texas gained statehood. I was born and raised there; married there and have two daughters who were born there. My ancestors pictures are hanging in the capital. But I married a Yankee and we moved here to Illinois a few years back. Please put me on your list of 'people who have roots in Texas'. My family still lives there; mostly near San Antone but our roots are originally in East Texas.

ReplyDeleteFound out about your blog from Debbie. This list makin' is fun!!! My family history of Texans goes way back. Born and raised in Houston and now living on a farm in Caldwell next to the Brazos River. Life can't get any better.

Another Howdy from East Texas! I've talked to you before, but I wanted to make sure I'm on your list, Diana! I'm a natural Texan from way back on both sides of my family. We Gig 'Em and Hook 'Em both. And like Debbie at Attracted to Shiny Objects, I'm getting my handgun license and I'm the first person to be on a sign-up list when Texas decides to secede from the Union! We're the only state that can fly our flag at the same level as the US Flag! Remember the Alamo!
ReplyDeleteJust moved to San Antonio from Phoenix. Any good suggestions on Churches here?
ReplyDeleteDiana, so glad I met you in Texas! I lived in Texas from 6th grade through 10th, then from 2002-2008. My parents and our son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter, and Jeff's sister and her family all live in Texas, and we didn't move very far across the line.
ReplyDeleteDiana, found your blog through a comment you made on Stick Horse Cowgirls... because you said "I am a Texan." LOL! So am I! Love Texas and love blogging! So nice to cross paths with you!
ReplyDeleteYeehaw can I get an Amen for the Great State of Texas! Add my name to the bloggin list... glad to be back in this great state!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog. Add me to your Texan list...born and raised here.
ReplyDeleteI'm a Texan... at least for the last for the last 5+ years. I know that doesn't qualify me as a "real" Texan ;) But I would still love to be included.
ReplyDeleteSadly, I am in the process of moving back to the West Coast.
We moved to central TX almost 3 years ago. Glad to be here instead of WI where there is snow....just waiting for it to warm up here!
