Accepting Our Assignment
This morning just a few thoughts from “Jonah” (week #1)...........
Are you being given a Nineveh assignment—something God wants you to do that you do not necessarily want to do? Why not?
This “thing” our sovereign God has chosen you to do over someone else means He has literally singled you out for this particular purpose!
Will you accept this.......
challenge AND privilege to write a story of significance for eternity?
See?? I knew you'd love Jonah! Isn't it AWESOME????
ReplyDeleteAwesome thoughts, I have to track this study down. I think that I need to think more about God's assignments, instead of looking at boat schedules. :)
ReplyDeleteWow...good, good food for thought. We each have our own story He wants to write...I need to stop trying to read someone else's story and jump into their pages of their books.
ReplyDeleteI have suggested this Bible study to the Women's Ministry group at church. How many weeks is it? How long are the weekly sessions with Priscilla, and is there a lot of homework? I'm also sharing your Jonah blog with them. Hope that's okay.
ReplyDeleteWow. Profound message to ponder!
ReplyDeleteGreat post, Diana.Sounds like a great study, so much to think about.

"Challenge AND Privilege" is what a faith walk is all about! Thank you for sharing these insights. Have a blessed Sunday~ ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteIf I could always have eyes to see each opportunity as a "challenge ans opportunity"! Thanks for this insight and encouragement to "see"!
ReplyDeleteSaw Beth Moore at Little Rock Friday and Saturday. She was absolutely wonderful. She said that Priscilla Shirer called her at 6:15 Saturday morning, and they prayed together about the conferences that they were both doing. Beth was making the point to not be jealous of others who do what you do. We're all in this together! :) Keep the Jonah blogs coming!
