Waiting is Weaving

You may remember that In my ladies’ bible study group we are studying “Women of the Bible.” Each week we study a different one. We have learned so much through our fellowship and studying together.

Our next lady to study is Elizabeth. I wanted to share something that has already jumped off the page. It is in reference to Christians having to WAIT. Yes, we sometimes don’t like to do that.  But we have to remember that God sometimes has awesome surprises awaiting us! Our challenge is to faithfully follow and trust Him as we do so.

Read what the author says.

“Are you waiting on God about something now? Remember, He cares about the smallest thing and is working all within the big picture of His redemptive plan that includes you. Trust His timing, and His goodness….God is never late; nor is He ever too early. He is always on time, working according to His timing that is always perfect.

With God, waiting is weaving----weaving the full beautiful tapestry of His will.

Don’t you just love that?

  3. Morning Diana,
Thanks for sharing these words of encouragement.
Well needed during times of waiting.......and we
of course, are in a waiting period. We have been waiting fairly patiently but every once in awhile I start to get frustrated a bit, just yesterday I said to hubby I just wish the Lord would give us at least, a lil glimmer of something to know where we are really going here!! lol
But I do know and have experienced that Gods timing is definitely always worth the wait and
that He is truly never late, never early but right on time. The last time hubby was laid off it was for 10 months, and the day he got the job was the day his unemployment ran out!! Right on Time....I would say!! lol
He is definitely weaving something good into
our tapestry, just can't wait to see what it is!! But I don't have a choice in that!! lol
    Have a great day hon,
    Blessings, Nellie

  6. Isn't it wonderful when you understand "waiting"? It's where we rest in Him. And I have had trouble in the area of waiting. Thank you for sharing this.

  7. This fits perfectly with today. I have been in a waiting room for so long and today I got up and it was over. Just like that. I keep still trying to grasp it all and I find I keep taking deep breaths. This morning the verse that met me was this. "I have spoken it; I will bring it to pass.
I have purposed it; I will also did it."
I always knew He would but I forget. Elisabeth waited a long time for a son. Didn't she?
Thank you it goes along with today, perfectly. :)

  9. Yes, I do love that. Although we always want to take the reins of our life, He is the One who is in control and works all things after the counsel of His own will. He will accomplish His purposes in our lives.

  10. Just minutes ago I was on the highway, tears filling my eyes because of an issue I've struggled with for most of my life. It surfaces now and again, always the same pain, and I wonder how long I will hurt, how long I will wait to know "why" and will my heart ever heal. God must have known I needed this post as a gentle reminder of His timing, even when we are hurting. Thank you for sharing.

  13. Thank you I need to be reminded of that. I am such a NOW person. But God has it all in control if we just give it to Him and lean on Him.

  17. Can we ever hear that enough? So many things I thought I wanted RIGHT NOW (and didn't get), were so much sweeter, and so much better when at long last they arrived.

And then there's those other things, the ones I'm still waiting for ... Somehow it's easier to trust Him for them because of what He's so faithfully done already.

    Great thougths, my friend.

  18. What a beautiful word picture the author has given us. I can visualize it--God working on us weaving us, and though we only see a small part of the tapestry today, someday we will see the whole picture and understand why.
