The List

As I got up this morning, it hit me. Good grief......July is almost gone. Where has it gone? I decided I needed to commit to three "written" things to get done before July 31! So here. Hold me accountable.

1. Straighten my closet
2. Make some jelly
3. Finish "sprucing up" the patio

Do you have anything you want to get done in the next few days?

  1. Oh Diana,
I have plenty to do before the 29th!
Please pray that THIS week I will write the 2 brief "talks" I am to give in evaluation groups at a Conference the last weekend of July.
    Time just escapes me!!!

Praying that cleaning that closet will be a blessing and make you proud. =)

  7. Strangely, I've been doing something similar today. I've really been exhausted for several days. This morning I made myself finish my 'chores' first thing after devotional and breakfast. And I have been sitting here thinking of those things I should or would like to accomplish this week. I find now that I'm not feeling as fatigued! Lists at least give us some sense of focus and direction, and perhaps help us not to feel so overwhelmed. In a way, they give us permission to put our worries a about other tasks on hold. I think that might energize us. Just a thought. Anyway, I'm 'listing' today :D

  8. It IS helpful to jot things down to keep before you, so you're more likely to accomplish them!! I need to complete some research for my WIP, get some shopping done for my college-bound daughter, and prepare for an upcoming trip! Have a beautiful week & God bless!

  9. Oh yes, I have to make raspberry jam out of the raspberries in my freezer - to make room for more green beans that are coming on fast...and then freezing green beans...and picking raspberries. The first picking, rather sparse, was today. Glad the tomatoes aren't ready yet!

  10. I want to color my hair. I need a change. LOL I feel more like a man than a woman. So, off to the pantry to alleviate this masculinity.

  11. I'm a list maker also. My goal is to complete one thing each day. That way I won't feel like I wasted my day. :)

  12. Trying to catch up after being away. My husband loves cupcakes....he would rather have one that a slice of cake. Cute ideas for the chairs. Have to keep that in mind if I ever what to "jazz" ours up.
We have been recycling soda cans and newspapers for many years. We tried cardboard, but roaches took over! I'm proud of you for giving it a try! You are smart to have a date and make a list. I always do better when I have a deadline... holds me accountable!

  18. Great list! I want a peek at your jelly when you've made it! I'm sure it's delicous. The last jelly I made was years back (from fresh peaches).
