Flags and a Bumper Crop
"It's A Grand Old Flag"
Days 2-3 fell into Memorial Weekend. It was so awesome seeing flags flying everywhere.
As we were driving through Massachusetts, we just happened on a small town's celebration---a real Norman Rockwell moment for me. We hopped out of the car right there on the street to join them. The high school band played the national anthem while proud local servicemen of days gone by assisted with the flags.

ReplyDeleteDiana, I love all of your pictures. I love seeing our country's flag, too. Jeff put up 2 new ones to make 3 American flags flying together at the bank right now, and it looks really good. When he gets the new Oklahoma flag in, he'll probably have to put it and the bank flag back up.

ReplyDeleteWow! Great photos! I love this post! We love watching parades but didn't get to see this year's. Beautiful squash! I don't have a garden this year, but our little ole' Country market gas station sells somebody's fruit and veges. I happily bought my homegrown veges and had a YUMMY salad! Life in the country..is just awesome!

Sounds like a wonderful trip! We went to Philadelphia many years ago and it was thrilling to be where so much of the history of our nation took place. I'm sure you felt much the same way in Boston.Great pictures!
