Defrazzling

"Our God is a frazzle-friendly God! Not only will He enter into our stressful circumstances. He longs to be there to bring His relief, comfort, and joy."

This is taken from the opener of our new bible study, "Victoriously Frazzled," that I recently mentioned we are starting. For the first week as a fun "defrazzler," we are encouraged to do something to pamper ourselves. It might be for just a few precious minutes, an hour, a morning, or a day. Might cost money; might not. It's your choice. Could be anything! The possibilities are endless.

So I am passing the challenge on to you that I will be asking of them. Choose something to do to relax and take care of yourself. Yes, think of something right now......

Leave me a comment and let me share your pampering idea with them!

  2. Sounds like a great study! I have had 2 days off in a row...not by choice, but because my allergies are so bad...I have lost my voice. I need to be at work, but since I can't be I have taken the past 2 days to read, relax, rest, and a little art too! That is always my favorite relaxer.
    Hugs,
    Tara

  3. Are you leading this Bible study? It sounds good! I need some defrazzling, (Is that a word?) but I don't think I have the time right now. Please share some of the ideas you receive.

  4. A long relaxing bubble bath, lots of bubbles, and candles all around the tub.

  5. What a perfect idea for your study group. Between stress at work, DH losing his job of 27 years and starting our own business, I can use as many suggestions (preferably cheap or free lol) as you can recommend! My favorite "me" time is just reading a good book with some soft music in the background. Kathy

  7. Oh Keelie, so right getting a mani/pedi is awesome.

Cowboy and I love watering the garden/flowers/ by hand. Cheesey, I know. But the sound of the water on your precious veggies or flowers gives a sense of satisfaction and relaxation.

Love a hot bubble bath afterwards, HA!!

  8. I love a good manicure. And usually about 2 times a year I treat myself to one at a salon. Otherwise, I giove them to myself.

  9. What a great idea, Diana! We all need some defrazzling from time to time. I am sure your Bible study will be wonderful.

Knitting can be a defrazzler for me. Walks. Making myself a cup of tea and sitting quietly to enjoy it. Though it seems when I am most frazzled, I tend to forget... sitting down for a quiet moment with God always adds a calm.

Have a great day. I look forward to hearing more about your study.

  12. I splurge on nicer handsoap since I wash my hands alot with little ones all day long! Bonus, it smells good too (ah, the power of aromatherapy)!!!

I just got to go to a spa and some simple things they had on hand for the guests were lemon or mint water, they had fresh mint cuttings you could add to your tea or lemonade.

They had rolled washcloths in a bucket of ice water infused with lavendar oil and you used it after the sauna or shower.... but could you imagine how refreshing and relaxing on a hot summer day this would be?

Some great tips from the person who gave me a prenatal massage were you can make your own scrub with salt or sugar and any essential oil or coffee grounds.

Also you can take your crockpot and roll up washcloths, lightly mist them with water and set the low setting to make steam hand towels to use after a hand or foot rub.

Can you imagine how fun it would be to do a girls time or a shower for someone getting married or a baby and use all these easy and really inexspensive ideas??? I almost posted about this...maybe I still will ;)

One more indulgence for me is chocolate!

  16. Go to be early to read! I love to read but don't make time during the day to read just for pleasure, so going to bed to read would be a wonderful way to unwind. Only problem? My husband doesn't understand my love of reading in bed, so if I go to bed, he follows soon after, and he likes to turn out all the lights and actually go to sleep. What's up with that?! LOL

  17. Sounds like a great Bible study. I'm with you, we all need to do something special for ourselves each day. Love & blessings from NC!

  18. EASY! A pass to read a book WITH a treat! The book MUST be mindless and frivolous...no self help...no diet or child rearing material allowed! AND...for me...a sweet treat that I do not intend to share with my short people!

Thanks for stopping by The Glen Diana!
