Let Freedom Ring As We Remember!
11-11-09
Veteran's Day

I am proud both my father and father-in-law served our country. This is my dad standing under the Eiffel Tower in Paris. He served most of his time in France and Germany. My father-in-law was in the Philippines. (I'm searching for a photo of him in uniform.)

I'd love to know if you have a family member who served as well.

I pray God continues to bless our nation.

  3. Thank you to your father and father-in-law for serving our country! Yes, my brother is former Navy. He was on the USS Cole when it was bombed in Yemen. He survived, by the grace of God--but many of his close friends did not. A story on the power of prayer? My mama (who passed away several years ago) woke up in the middle of the night (wee hours of the morning) with my brother on her heart. Obeying the tug of the Holy Spirit, she immediately began to intercede on his behalf. Little did she know, until the next day, that during that immediate hour of prayer, is when the ship was being bombed. I have chills even typing this now....You know of course, already, that my brother survived, but what you don't know is that 5 months after my brother was flown home from Yemen, my mother passed away.
I'm STILL thankful for those soldiers that died on the ship that day--because I'm still free here in America.
