Camping, Packing, and Relaxing

We are at Joe Pool Lake this weekend. What a difference in the camping weather this weekend! It is absolutely beautiful. The sun is out, and the lake is up from all the rain. We love this place!

We are here to help Jared and Jenna move out of their house. They got an offer within 12 hours of the house being on the market. So everything was put in high gear. The last two nights we have had fast food picnics on their living room floor. Today brings another beautiful day. We will be taking things to storage and to Jared's mom's house. Tonight, we are planning a nice dinner somewhere and a bit of relaxation.

(All this packing makes me a little dizzy thinking about how much stuff Rick and I have. Sure glad we aren't the ones having to pack it all up!)

  1. Diana, I feel the same way when I think of all my stuff...I just pray my daughter don't curse me for saving so much"stuff" Once I came upon two daughter looking in a drawer in the kitchen saying"hoarder drawer" ...I told them , just for that you are going to have to sort it when I die, they said , "quick, put Liz's name on it." that's the sister that wasn't here that day. Darn kids. Love them to pieces. I think about you and your husband being there to help your children. We love them and they need us, so we do what we have to do, right? Blessings to all of you, xoxo,Susie

  2. Hi Diana, That looks like a wonderful spot for camping-your rigg looks good too. Last year we had three moves-our two daughters moved to new houses near us and we also moved. By the third move I decided I don't ever want to move again or help anyone move(but sure I will have to). We told our kids the next move, we are just giving them money to hire help. Since our move, I've been so careful not to go to garage sales and just buy things I don't really need; especially since we doubled the size of our last house.
Have a good time but don't overdue.
    Hugs, Noreen

  3. Oh sweet friend, that place looks like the perfect spot. I'm with Noreen, since our last move we are very careful what comes into the house. I'm determined our next move will be a very small one with little to move. My mom told us kids years ago she didn't want anyone fighting over her stuff nor did she want us to have to move lots of her stuff when the time came. She succeeded on both!

  5. 12 hours!?! Congratulations.
How lucky they were even though it sped up the move.
