The New Study
I was so thrilled to get started again tonight with our ladies' bible study. I had missed our weekly time together. This is a brand new study Beth Moore has written. It's going to be SO good. I have already been blessed in Week One.
"See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. Bible scholars compare James to the prophet Amos. In other ways, James more closely resembles the Book of Proverbs than any other New Testament book. Topics in this study include: joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer." It is fun to get back to a study with ladies, isn't it? I haven't done one in a long time. I think I need to do one sometime soon. xo Diana

ReplyDeleteGood Morning! Diana, hope your New Year has been a good start!! I too am doing this study, and wow~ I did not know that the book of James is such a powerful little book! I said that it is going to cause us to wade a little bit deeper!! I love it:) Have a great day!!
ReplyDeleteWe started the James study 2 weeks ago, so I've already done the first 2 weeks' homework. I'm amazed at what Beth has uncovered about the character of James, Jesus' half-brother. She's definitely God-inspired!
