Treats for the Ladies

Last week I had decided to whip up something for the ladies in my bible study. Nothing fancy....just a few Halloween treats to take home.

Supplies......white sacks, computer-printed image, homemade cookies and brownies, a Snickers bar, and bible verse cards I made.

Oh my goodness. What did I do??

Yes, I forgot to give them to the ladies. I realized it the next morning! Don't laugh...do not laugh!

I just put everything in the freezer--sacks and all. Luckily, I did remember to take them out yesterday.

So last night when we met, I had myself a note taped in my book..."GIVE OUT THE HALLOWEEN SACKS!"

Do any of you relate?

Hope you got treated--not tricked!

  1. You are very thoughtful! And yes I can relate, but we won't talk about how many times I've done something similar. :-) I imagine your friends were just as pleased a few days late!

  4. Morning Diana,
I can relate only too well, I am afraid!! lol
That was a sweet thing, and I am sure it was an even bigger surprise afterwards, cause they defintely wouldn't be expecting it, and maybe the Lord made you forget on purpose cause there was some lady or ladies who really needed to feel loved on that day!! I sometimes have mailed a card late or given a gift late and the person said this could not have come at a better time!! I have been feeling so low or it has been a horrible day or week, etc.
Have a good rest of the week hon,
    blessings, Nellie

  8. Oh that is so funny and yes, I totally can find myself doing this. I love the picture on the bag and it just looks great. I will try it with something for Christmas as there are so many people I would just like to give small thing too, like the mailman and the trash guys. :) A very good idea.

  10. Oh, yes, I can definitely relate! You are not alone. I think you blessed them immensely regardless of when you gave them to the ladies. :)

  19. LOVE The bags! I can soooo relate. Years ago when I was a kid and lived on the farm we were snowed in for several days. One of my cousins and my brother hooked up a big sled that they pulled behind them (this was before ATV's & snowmobiles)..and walked across the countryside to the closest little store. It was about a 4 or 5 mile walk. Mother had sent a list and put COFFEE on the very top of the list underlined THREE TIMES. The grocer took the list-started UNDER the lines and Mother never got her coffee. Seems to me she was a tad ticked! lol Now I don't know WHY your story reminded me of that-but it did! Hugs- Diana

  21. Diane..Join the Club!! I won't mention anything about the passing of years or hormones..lets just say we are all busy thinking about way too many things. (especially me!) Something's bound to get lost in the transition from brain to hand.

The bags are beautiful!! What a great idea!

  22. I had to chuckle at this one--I can so relate! I fixed my traditional pumpkin shaped decorated cookies for my Bible study gals. I've done it for so many years now, that I don't think they would let me forget about them!
