Saluting our Nurse!

Today is National Nurses Day. On this day, recognition is given to nurses for their contributions and commitment to quality health care. It brings awareness to the importance of nurses in the care, comfort, and well being of all of us, and especially our children and the aging, and those in poor health.

So....today let's recognize our favorite and much loved ICU nurse, Jenna! She will have completed her first two years in critical care next month. She and I were actually talking on Monday about nursing and how she feels for the patients and the families at their side. I told her it is a calling and ministry. Her patients are fortunate to have her care for them and feel their pain. I know when Papa, Nannie, Ganna, and Papa were in the hospitals at different times, nurses can be a blessing during those hard times.

(Keelie's "Medical Monday" idea is good! Greg can just skim those posts quickly.)
