New Babies

Rick got these baby African geese this past weekend. They originally came from China---not Africa. (We just drove 10 miles to get them.)

So cute.....

Crawdad Fishing

The kiddos and I have been crawdad fishing several times the past week or two. We are still on the hunt.

Jonah did get one, but the little critter took him by surprise, and he lost it. (We didn't have the string tied to a stick that time!) He said, "Nanna, my heart almost stopped."

At one point, Jonah was reminding me to be quiet.

Glory would fish awhile and then put on lip gloss awhile.

Love these kids!

 NASCAR & Jonah

Jonah came to NASCAR and camped with all of us again this spring. He was great and such a sweet thing!

New Neighbors

Justin and Keelie began their house last month. It's so fun watching the progress. Spring rains have  made it interesting.....but one hates to complain with the drought conditions we experienced last year.

Radiation

Although Rick's gamma radiation surgery was postponed in February due to insurance disputes, he finally got to have it March 20. Everything went as planned. 200+ rays all hit the tumor simultaneously and hopefully destroyed the tumor's DNA.

Now we wait and.......

Charleston

At the beginning of Spring Break we did a girls' trip to Charleston, South Carolina. It was a great one --- so many sites and rich history to take in. During our five days, we saw all the following:

Plantations – Boone Hall, Drayton Hall, The Charleston Tea Plantation, and Middleton Plantation
The Angel Oak Tree
Six Historical homes
Citadel
A 3 ½ walking historical tour of the city with Ed Gamball – Rainbow Row, Battery Park
The Market
Two Forts – Fort Moltrie and Fort Sumter
Two Museums – The Slave Museum and The Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon
Two neighboring towns -  Beaufort and Sullivan Island
The bridge - Arthur Ravenal Bridge
